CHILDREN'S MINISTRYJesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 19:14). We believe that ministering to kids is extremely important. In doing so we are helping them build a solid foundation to live their life for Christ in a changing world. Our teachers and helpers are dedicated to loving kids and to showing them the Christ revealed in the scriptures.

Children's ChurchWe believe in generations of families worshiping together and encouraging one another in their faith, so our Sunday 9:30AM service is designed for all ages. We realize, though, that an hour long service can be tough for some little ones, so half way through the service when the sermon begins, we dismiss the preschool age children to Children's Church, a time of activity and Bible teaching on their level. We also provide nursery care for children birth through 2 years old for the entirety of the service.

Sunday SchoolEach Sunday at 10:45AM, we have hour long Bible classes for all ages. There are dedicated classes for preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school. In addition an adult Bible study meets at the same time. The kids learn a lot and have a lot of fun. The focus is on learning the Bible at the appropriate age level and making friendships with other kids.

Sunday EveningWe recently began offering a children's class each Sunday evening at 5:30pm for preschool and elementary kids. The focus is learning important themes from the Bible, and often the lesson goes along with what is taught on Wednesday evenings. Middle and High School students are integrated with adults into main Sunday Evening session.

Wednesday Night Prairie AdventureThe highlight of many kids' week is our mid-week kid's program, "Prairie Adventure." We welcome all kids, preschool through 9th grade to be a part of this experience. Twice a month, on the second and fourth Wednesdays that Hoopeston Public Schools are in session, we meet at the church at 6pm CT for supper, followed by a time of singing, Bible teaching, and then a game or a craft. When the weather is nice we often play a game outside. Our lessons follow a different them each year. Why not come out this week? We wrap up each session at 7:30 and parents and guardians are welcome but not expected to stay with their kids.
